I got a $300.00 per quarter scholarship. Thank you God. I was beginning to stress about how I was going to pay for this year. Happy now.

A Saturday with Rachel is never a Saturday wasted.
Unless you count the two hours we spent throwing rocks at a log. Here is by far the best part of our escapades.
The Mattress Ranch
There is nothing like sharing moments of quiet reflection with a painted duck.
Contrary to popular belief, it's hard to fit Rachel into a raised chicken coop with a plastic chicken.
I seemed to have misplaced my lasso.
Obviously my favorite. It's hard to tell the difference, with the matching big breasts and all, but I'll tell you: Rachel is the one without spots.
A prime senior photo if I ever saw one.
And not so much.
Is it any wonder she turned out like she did?
I can't even win a staring contest with a fake squirrel.
Not only am I hot, I'm cool too. And not only was the parking lot under video surveillance, it was under people surveillance too.
I couldn't disappoint such a handsome googly-eyed cow.
Et voila. We're SO hot.

A Poem
I sit down for a quiet moment of reflection before bed,
All lights are off around the square
No fireworks, just peace
And then a double beep
And two flashes of parking lights
But no one.
Then, from the apartment below
Emerges a man
Long sleeve t-shirt, boxer shorts
And socks, with gray patches
He tiptoes stealthily to the rear driver door
Of the car in the parking lot
And pulls from within
An enormous package of toilet paper.
He stalks quietly back in,
Locks the door,
And twenty-six seconds later
A single beep and flash.
A sprinkler dashes tst-tst-tst, t-duhduhduhduh
A cat screams
And I think, quietly, so as not to add to the noise
Maybe this night isn't so silent,
After all.
I have heartburn, I need to pee for the 20th time, and I need to work tomorrow. Will post more later. Night.

I like to call this little bit "hopping on the bandwagon." Never fails.
What is your middle name? Leigh
When you were a child what name did you want to have? Alex
What Parker Posey movies have you seen/do you own? Coneheads, Dazed and Confused (barely remember), Party Girl (confused as to why I was watching it, when I was watching it), Waiting for Guffman (comedic genius at its best), Best in Show (not so much), Josie and the Pussycats, The Sweetest Thing, A Mighty Wind (own this and the soundtrack, ha.)
How many TV's are in your house? 2. And one only gets thirty-six channels. Can't figure that one.
If you could eat anything right now what would it be? A Spiro's side salad with roquefort.
Song/Artists you would sing at Karaoke? Anything Tom Petty, which is weird since he's a man and I'm not, but I know all of his songs.
Do you screen your calls? Yeah, but even if it's someone I don't want to talk to, I still pick up. Enh.
What CD's are around you at this moment? Books? Coldplay's A Rush of Blood to the Head, Sister Act 2, and A Mighty Wind. Books... I've got my own personal library, but in eye shot, the first two Lord of the Rings, Angels & Demons, the Da Vinci Code, Pride and Prejudice and 1984.
If there is a magazine around you what celebrity is on it? Oh numerous. Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp. My prized People's featuring the two best looking men, EVER.
How many people have you kissed? 1. EWWWWWW.
What is your style? Pretty classy, but a desire to add a bit of funk.
Do you have any deformities? My pinkies bend all the way backwards so they lay flat on the back of my hands.
Can you roll your tongue? Indeed I can.
What is the grossest thing that has happend to you recently? I had to stand and have a conversation with a co-worker, and it is safe to assume, by smell and overwhelming amounts of acne, does not bathe.
What are your most recent purchases? Three books to add to my library, shampoo, and a box fan. Damn this lack of air-conditioning.

I have to go to a rehearsal today, for which I am totally unprepared. Then, when I'm about to practice, I discover my music has been kidnapped by my mother, so she can show it to her boyfriend. Damnit. This is important because everyone will know what they're doing, and I wanted to show that the amateur could too, that's me, but now I can't. Suckass. In other news, Tabatha and I went to the parade yesterday. It was typical hometown Port Orchard, and I found out that on August 7th, there's a little model plane show on Sunnyslope road. So there. We brought her dog, Star, who is afraid of people and noises, so it didn't work too well. We were also sitting next to this family with seven kids, three being triplets, and one of whom gave us her address and phone number in case we wanted to visit her, but did neglect to give us her name. I also saw the Dodgeball movie... it was okay, but only the pain was really funny. Well, that's about it. I'll talk to you all later. Peace.
