  • I call this Diet Rice Bowl

  • How marvelous to be surrounded always with music. Not the kind where there is pressure to have it learned, to do it well, and knock people's socks off. The laid-back impromptu jam, sitting in a beautiful little house with ugly paint, newly cleaned and rearranged, where everyone who resides there has their life filled with music. All can play, several instruments a piece, visitors can also, or sing, if need be. There is always a fakebook open on a stand, always a record to hear that will change your life, always a sense of comraderie as the music takes the place of awkward conversation. Almost every room in the house resonates at Db. The dining room where we consumed the last minute meal, a D. This is what I live for. This alternate world where there is no bustling pressure, no topics untouched by the sounds of the intruments that are plucked, beaten, played. To have the gentle caress of violin, guitar, bass, voice. This is where I belong. This is who I am.

  • Yeah, but I'm doing it on LJ mostly. And I know you read that. Well, whatev. Tonight, there was a jam at Brandon's house, which was mellow and sweet. And the dastardly, dastardly Nils was there, whom I elbowed twice, in the stomach. Excuses, excuses. Also, I bought fudgecicles. And Taco Bell. And now I must sleep, for there is a rehearsal and hanging out with Hannah tomorrow. G'night loves.

  • It's official. Nils and I kick LOTR ass. Seriously.

    Come Merry.

  • Work was very busy this evening. And I'm really getting tired of having to pretend I like certain people. Whatever. It'll all blow ever and it'll be fine. Tomorrow, Hannah and I are going to the fair. That should be very fun. Oh....

  • So I totally didn't get the job. No big though. I watched an entire 10 hour miniseries on dvd in the last two days. Sad, I know. Today, Tabatha and I went to the Olalla Bluegrass Festival. It was amazing and I was really quite impressed. Especially for it being Olalla and all. Then, called the beautiful Troy and ended up at his house hanging out with him and his brother. We got food, went shopping, ya da ya da and watched a movie. Interesting to say the least. Ummmm... that's really all for now, but ask me your questions, and I'll tell you no lies. Well, no big ones at least. Tally-ho.

  • Well, another update on the life of Katie. I had a job interview today at Olympic College, and I think it went well. What I didn't realize was that it would be conducted by two friends and an aquaintance. We shall see. In other news, I've got to go make pizzas, so I'll talk to you all later.

  • Well, my best friend leaves soon. I received several parting gifts and they are as follows:

    Two mismatched shoes
A giant foam finger (just the finger and it was ripped from Nils' possession) that reads "go trojans"
A marvelous chair on loan for three years. His name? Squeaks. Mr. Squeaks.
And lastly, a shirt with swinging beads

I shall miss her terribly, and I hope she has a safe journey to the far away land of L.A. Until Christmas my love, until Christmas.

  • I'm okay now. I'm okay.

  • Even though she is not yet in LA, this update is for Rachel. Today I went to work. This consisted of being on the clock for 34 minutes. Bill hates excesses of people. But I did get a pizza out of the deal. Then I went to Rachel's where we sang through some of the last five years, and topped it off by going through nearly all of Les Mis. After which we ate cold pizza and cupcakes. I tried to stuff a whole one in my mouth, and had to push it in with my fingers, but Rachel managed to get two in at once. I think I'm never eating cupcakes again. Then I went home. Hannah called and we got together for a trip to Walmart, where we bought movies instead of renting, Taco Bell, and then to her schoolhouse for movie fun. Now, I am home. Tomorrow, if y'all are interested, Hannah and I are going to donate blood at St. Gabe's so join if you want. That is all. Peace out. Tally-ho, hahaha.
